Wow! What a trip! My first time on the mission field was such an eye opener to the work we are yet to accomplish!
We were welcome by a few of our Kenyan brothers and sisters with smiles beaming from their faces, (more so the children) in the dark night. What a pleasant surprise next morning to see the immensity of the work Pastor Kevin been doing as the large group of children gathered for morning devotion, class and the distribution of clothes, school supplies and other items we brought. I just wished it could have been more, we all felt the same!!! The Oasis Ministry and children, other ministries and surrounding residents were blessed as god’s agenda was carried out.
At the end of our Kenya’s mission trip, many people were saved and baptized, but more important we will have lasting memories of the new friends we’ve made in Kenya. The animals we saw, the busy city of Nairobi that never sleeps, the love we experienced from everyone, children thought they have very little but always looking happy and dancing when they came to meet us to escort us to church.
My Kenyan grandmother whom I met and will forever love and the love Pastor Kevin Ombegah Omoso and his family bestowed upon us. I am sure that God is saying well done my good and faithful servants, mission accomplished.
Over nine years, Apostle Deborah John planted Kingdom Oasis Ministries in Kenya with Pastor Kevin who is the official Pastor of the Kenya Branch. This past August, KOM Kenya Ministries was finally launched and I’m so proud to be a part of Kingdom Oasis Ministries Int’l.
This experience was like no other. My heart melted when I saw how much the orphans appreciated the gifts we brought them. The look in their faces was priceless when we fed them soda, hot dogs and baked beans which they had never eaten before; it was their first time.
God said, “it’s not by might, not by power but by His Spirit.” With that being said, God moved mightily on the mission trip in Kenya. I’ve witnessed people being healed, souls won for the kingdom of God, kids as well as adults were baptized(30).
I saw the love of God in abundance among the people in Kisii Kenya. They may not have much but they have the joy of the Lord which I saw every day.
I thank and appreciate every one on the team who was apart of this work. Apostle John, thank you for your obedience.
Pastor Kevin thank you for making us feel so welcomed. We accomplished what God sent us to do.
